The 18th Annual International Folk Alliance Conference will be held in
Austin, Texas, USA from February 10-14, 2006. As an integral part of the Folk Alliance Conference, the official showcases allow presenters,
promoters, agents, record companies, and media people to be able to see
artists who are working in the folk and world music and dance field. The emphasis is on emerging artists, or those who may be regionally well-known, or well known within their genre, who are looking to expand their opportunities. Artist selection will be based on multiple genre of music categories, with juries selected for their specific expertise. Showcase performers will have one appearance.

Genres accepted include: traditional and contemporary folk,
singer/songwriter, blues, bluegrass, gospel, cajun and zydeco, celtic,
traditional, old time, world music, and other styles of folk and roots music.

Please note: Selected artists must pay a showcase fee and at least one performer or manager must register for the conference. All additional performers will receive complimentary conference registration.
