The 19th Annual International Folk Alliance Conference will be held in Memphis, Tennessee, USA from February 22-25, 2007. Official Performance Alley showcases will be held on February 21-24, 2007. As an integral part of the Folk Alliance Conference, the official showcases allow presenters, promoters, agents, record companies, and media people to be able to see artists who are working in the folk, world music and dance field. The emphasis is on emerging artists, or those who may be regionally well-known, or well known within their genre, who are looking to expand their opportunities. Artist selection will be based on multiple genre of music categories, with juries selected for their specific expertise. Selected showcase performers may have opportunity for two official appearances.

Genres accepted include: Singer-Songwriter, Bluegrass, Blues, Traditional, Canadian Roots, World, Celtic/British, Spoken Word, Childrens, Dance, Film and other like genres.

Please note: Any artist may apply to showcase. All artists selected to showcase will need to be a current member, register for the full conference, pay a showcase production fee, and provide technical and publicity information.
