Founders Title Company 20th Anniversary Folk and Bluegrass Festival

The Founders Title Co. Folk and Bluegrass Festival is an annual festival held at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Snowbird, Utah. Each summer the festival brings some of the best folk and bluegrass to 2 stages and nearly 2,500 people. This year’s 20th anniversary festival will take place on July 11-13, 2008. The festival will not only consist of great headline performers such as The Sam Bush Band, Tim O'Brien, and Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, it will also incorporate a songwriter showcase, Band Scramble, instrument contest, and the Snowbird song school.



The Founders Title Co. Folk and Bluegrass Festival is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for consideration to be included in the Susanne Millsaps Performing Songwriter Showcase. Submitting artists should be solo singer-songwriters (sorry, no duos, trios, etc.) who will be performing original music. The Susanne Millsaps Performing Songwriter Showcase is widely known as “the best songwriting contest around.” Selected artists will compete by performing 2 songs on the festival Plaza stage. Finalists will be selected in a blind judging by a panel of judges, with scoring based on vocal ability, instrumental ability, and songwriting. The winner of the competition will be invited back the following year for a paid main stage performance. This is a great gig for any solo singer-songwriter to showcase their talents to a dedicated and compassionate audience.
