Nestled on the banks of the St. John River in the beautiful downtown, the Fredericton Playhouse has provided the best in live performance for over four decades. Their goal is to offer their audiences an outstanding array of performances featuring artists from across Canada and around the world in virtually every genre.

The Playhouse is located in downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, adjacent to the Provincial Legislature, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and the Lord Beaverbrook Hotel. Originally built as a gift to the people of New Brunswick from Lord Beaverbrook in 1964, the building was thoroughly renovated in 1972 to expand its technical capabilities and improve its inherent audience-to-performer relationship.

Today, The Playhouse serves as a venue for local and touring performers. The Fredericton Playhouse is a 709-seat soft seat theatre, and promotes in-house but can serve as a rental venue as well. The Playhouse is now booking for it’s season which runs from September 2007 to May of 2008.

Please note: Artists generally receive flat guaranteed fees. Travel is usually at the artist’s expense. The venue does not stock backline gear, but full lighting, PA and monitors are provided.
