The Opportunity

The Funky Monkey Cafe, located in Cheshire, CT, is an intimate setting for great music and art, and an ideal spot for jazz, world and fusion music. It is looking to book local, regional, and small touring acts that are routing through the area. Artists perform live on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Funky Monkey is seeking artists who fit the styles of gypsy jazz, newgrass, merengue, etc. and a variety of other similar genres. The Funky Monkey does not book hard core rock bands, nor cover bands and prefer duos, trios, and solo acts. 

The Gig

Selected artists receive:

  • Artists will receive compensation to be negotiated
  • Artists are responsible for bringing their own instruments and any additional equipment.
The Funky Monkey is an artist cafe with the capacity of 50 for people of all stripes. Chill and enjoy delicious, nutritious food, amazing art, great live music, stand up comedy, jazz happy hours, community forums, author nights, book club meetings and much more. The Funky Monkey does not book SESAC registered music.
