PLAY: Garcia's (NY) - Summer/Fall

In partnership with the family of Jerry Garcia, The Capitol Theatre christened its lobby bar as Garcia's in honor of the late Grateful Dead guitarist and singer. Jerry, an iconic musical figure counted the Port Chester, N.Y, rock venue among his favorite venues in the country. Garcia's is currently looking for Sonicbids artists to play this summer/fall in the lobby.

Garcia's at The Capitol has become a place to pay respect and honor a long and illustrious history with the Grateful Dead and the jam scene. Garcia's is a live music venue with a lobby bar filled with Grateful Dead singer Jerry Garcia's mementos. In partnership with concert promoter The Bowery Presents, A multimillion-dollar renovation took place and a state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, video systems, and new carpets repainted walls and upgraded bathrooms were installed to the theater in 2011.

Capital Theater Owner and legendary club promoter Peter Shapiro is thrilled to build a home for the next generation of jam bands and other genres to spread their wings. This is a great opportunity to become a part of a community and build a long-lasting relationship with Port Chester's #1 music venue.

• Looking for bands that can promote and bring a crowd
• We're looking for bands who live within 40 miles of Port Chester, NY

  Bands must be actively playing shows 

• Acts must have a solid online presence 

• All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase

• Bands are able to sell merch on-site

• Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play

• Past acts include Blondie, Billy Idol, Neil Young, Herbie Hancock, BB King, Wille Nelson, The Roots, Al Green and many more...
