Summary
Girls with Guitars has been Toronto's hottest songwriter in-the-round event for over 4 years, and it's still going strong! This Nashville inspired event hosts women writers in an acoustic, intimate and interactive setting.
GWG is a bi-annual showcase (two times per year) in the heart of Toronto's music strip at the ultra chic Rivoli. Women from all genres are encouraged to submit, but will only be considered if their strength is solo performance with an acoustic guitar (no accompaniests or keyboards permitted). 2 slots are reserved for Sonicbids members. Compensation is provided in a percentage of the ticket sales.
Past performers include Linda McRae (Spirit of the West) and Lorraine Segato (The Parachute Club).
