The Peterson Garden Project is throwing a big event to show-off its gardens and celebrate the birth of our nation with the protector of our gardens, Gnomes. The event will feature local food trucks, live music, garden tours, and, of course, a Gnome of the Year Award.

Peterson Garden Project is a volunteer organization committed to teaching people to grow their own food. Based in Chicago, Illinois, they build edible community gardens and stronger
communities, too. Peterson Garden Project has grown from one community garden to five, including the Edible Treasures located at the Field Museum. Read more about the project here.
