Summary

The GO! Music Festival was held for the first time in March 2007. The Festival hosted 2 nights of live music in Waterloo. The 2007 Festival had 30 bands playing in 5 venues. Now in its second year, the GO! Music Festival has expanded to include 3 new venues in the adjacent town of Kitchener. The festival will be held on 7 & 8, 2008. These dates coincide with Canadian Music Week and is hosted only one hour away from Toronto. This is a good opportunity for bands who are already touring in the area.

Kitchener and Waterloo are home to 3 college and universities as well as a vibrant independent music scene. All of this combines to form an amazing live music fan base waiting to be entertained. The GO! Music Festival embraces rock, pop, folk, alt-country, punk, reggae, acoustic artists. Each band will receive $100 for playing the festival (travel & accommodations are not provided).

This year 5 performance slots will be reserved for Sonicbids members. Last year's performers included: Apostle of Hustle, Pride Tiger, Ruth Minnikin, Run With the Kittens, Clothes Make the Man, Dirt Farmer, The Machines, The Stars Here and more. After only one year we were voted Best Music Festival in Kitchener-Waterloo by Echo Weekly readers.
