Gorilla Music Battle of the Bands New Orleans

Gorilla Music is a national producer of battle of the band shows in venues spanning many cities. They are currently looking for artists to compete in the New Orleans, LA BotB to take place July 8th, 2011. The battle is open to a variety of genres including acoustic, adult contemporary, alternative, Americana, avant-garde, bluegrass, blues, classical, Christian, country, folk, funk, goth, hip hop, rap, jam bands, metal, ambient, pop, punk, reggae, rock, singer/songwriter, soul, and R&B. Winner gets:

• $500


• 20 hours of recording time


• Bands play 30 min sets


• PA and mics supplied by the promoter

The Gorilla Music BotB is open to contestants who are over the age of 18 and expects an attendance of around 250. Selected bands are given presale tickets. There is no sale requirement to play however timeslots are determined by ticket sales and artists may keep any presale profits. Judging is based on audience response and applause at the end of the night. Check in is strictly 90 minutes before the show’s start time.


If your band does a good job promoting and performing on a Gorilla Battle, the promoter will book your band on more Gorilla events such as local showcases or festivals. Gorilla Productions books shows in over 80 clubs across the country and can offer suggestions for your band’s tour.
