RedGorilla Music Fest

RedGorilla Music Fest launched four years ago as the DreamScapers Artist Showcase and has grown each year under that name. In 2006, over 100 artists participated in shows in venues on 6th Street in Austin, Texas. This year, the event has a new name – RedGorilla Music Fest – but its mission is the same: to promote up-and-coming independent music in all genres and help independent artists further their careers. RedGorilla showcases will take place from Wednesday, March 14, to Saturday, March 17, in clubs on 6th Street, right in the heart of all the action. More than 150 artists will play. The event is free to attend and is open to the general public.



Over the years, some of the hottest up-and-coming acts in the world have been showcased by RedGorilla Music Fest. As a result, RedGorilla Music Fest has received international media attention and a reputation for being one of the coolest showcases for new music. Showcasing acts have included: Family Force 5 (Maverick), Dropping Daylight (Octone), Luna Halo (American), Bang Bang Bang (Warner Bros.), The Colour (EMI/Rethink), The Muckrakers (Label X/Toucan Cove/Universal), The Parlour Boys, and many more.
