Summary

Gorrilla Productions is seeking bands nationwide to participate in its ongoing Battle of the Bands series. Qualifying round take place in venues across the country, and winners from each show move to the finals for a chance to win $500 in cash, 20 hours of studio time, and a submission to a major or indie record label./n/nEach battle will consist of approximately 8 bands, each playing a 30-minute set. The winners of each show will advance to the finals. The winner of the finals will receive $500 in cash, 20 hours of studio time and a submission to one of the following labels: Warner Bros., Rotten, Geffen, Prosthetic, Metal Blade, Universal, or Columbia. The band will also receive a headlining gig at the featured concert club. Clubs include:


  • The Crossroads - 78 North Avenue, Garwood, NJ 07027. Tickets: $8 presale, $10 at the door. Show time: 4pm, all ages. Upcoming dates to be booked: January 31, March 14, May 2, June 27

  • Sullivan Hall - 214 Sullivan St, New York City, NY 10012. Tickets: $10 presale, $12 at the door. Show time: 5:30pm, 18 & up. Upcoming dates to be booked: February 28

  • DNA Lounge -
    375 11th St, San Francisco, CA 94103. Tickets : $10 presale, $12 doors. Show time 5:30 pm, all ages. Upcoming dates to be booked: January 31, February 21, March 7, April 11



  • Curtain Club -
    2800 Main St, Dallas, TX 75226. Tickets: $8 presale, $10 doors. Show time 4:00 pm, 17 & over. Upcoming dates to be booked: January 30, February 6, March 7, April 23 & 24, May 16, June 6

  • Skillman Street Bar 9220 Skillman Street, Dallas, TX 75243.Tickets: $8 presale, $10 doors. Show time 2:00 pm, all ages. Upcoming dates to be booked: January 24, February 21

  • Fitzgerald's 2706 White Oak Drive, Houston, TX 77007. Tickets: $8 presale, $10 doors. Show time 4:00 pm, all ages. Upcoming dates to be booked: February 6, February 14, March 28, April 18, May 30



Judging will be based on audience response/applause at the end of the show. Note the more people you bring, the better your chances of winning. Don’t forget to tell your fans to stick around until the end of the show.

Time slots are based on each band’s ticket sales. Time slots will be determined after bands have turned in all ticket money. The band that sells the most tickets gets the first choice and is declared the headliner. The band that sells the second most gets second choice of time slots, and so on.


  • Each band will be given 100 tickets to sell. Tickets are priced at $10 in advance and $12 at the door, day of show. All ticket money and unsold tickets must be turned in at load-in on the day of the show. Bands will be held responsible for any missing tickets.


  • Load-in will be exactly 90 minutes prior to the first band. The show time is printed on your tickets. Even if you expect to be the headliner, all bands must check in at load-in time. Artists must be on time or they will not play!


  • Bands must be considerate of other bands getting off stage as soon as possible in order to enjoy a full set. Bands that do not get off stage in a timely manner will not be considered for future events.


  • Bands must bring their own gear. The club will supply the PA and mics.


Due to various costs, there is a $25 cancellation fee. If you decide not to inform the venue of your decision to withdraw, the no-show fee is $50. In other words, please honor your commitment if selected. Relationships and integrity mean everything in this business.
