Summary

Green River Community College, located in Auburn, WA, is currently accepting submissions for live performances on campus during the 2008 Winter and Spring Quarters. The student population is approximately 9,000—both full-time and part-time students—and features a growing diversity of ages and ethnic backgrounds. Generally, Green River hosts 10-15 acts each school year, and artists are booked two months in advance to allow the school time to promote the shows.

They are seeking local, regional and touring acts to perform for various events throughout the school year and for the Mondays Mix- a noontime concert taking place once a month. Green River’s radio station KGRG, which plays modern rock with a number of specialty shows featuring a wide variety of alternative music, may promote the on campus shows as well. A wide variety of genres are welcome, but please no death metal, jazz or opera.

Singer/songwriters and full bands are both encouraged to submit for consideration. Artists perform on either the indoor stage (capacity of 350-500) or an outdoor area, weather permitting. Sound production will be provided, and artists are compensated with a negotiable flat fee.
