Summary

The Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) show their true Memphis colors through a dedication to live music at Grizzlies’ home games. The team built a performance stage in the main bowl of the 16,000-seat FedExForum, one of the most state-of-the-art arenas in professional sports. This season, at 17 “premium” games a season, the Grizzlies will feature a live band during the pre-game warm-ups, and again during halftime.

Resource Entertainment Group of Memphis sponsors the live entertainment at these events, and REG has teamed with Sonicbids to help build the entertainment roster for the 2007-2008 season. 5 performance slots are reserved exclusively for Sonicbids artists. Some artists will be eligible for compensation, but the marketing value of the engagement is its strength. Savvy bands will be able to take a great publicity photo from the stage with a huge crowd in the background. Also, every band will enjoy seeing themselves broadcast onto the largest scoreboard screen in the NBA.

Critical to success is a band’s ability to go from 0 to 100% in a few seconds. The window of playing opportunity is narrow, so each band must start at peak energy to get the crowd into the performance. Classic rock, soul, high-energy country, hip-hop and pop all work with the diverse crowd. Content MUST be family friendly.

Bands must bring their own backline, and REG’s on-site audio tech will coordinate patching them into the house PA system. Monitors will be provided.
