Summary

The Guitar Center's Rock N Roll Superstars Battle of The Bands is an innovative event which will offer artists a chance to win $1,500, recording time, musical gear and many other assorted prizes. The competition will be held on consecutive Sundays from February 8th to March 29th at Club 705 in Hermosa Beach, CA.

Selected bands will compete live in front of music industry professional judges. Past judges have included Loren Israel (Former Director of A & R at Capitol Records) Kevin Lyman (Vans Warped Tour/Taste of Chaos producer), Super Steve (radio personality on Kevin & Bean Morning Show on KROQ). The judges will rate your performance on your bands musicianship, stage presence, Lyrics, and crowd participation. Each band is given a 25 minute set, if you draw over 40 people you will be rewarded with an extra 10 minutes. This is a great opportuntity to perform in front of music industry professionals and compete for amazing prizes at the same time.

Magazine Articles: Articles in Music Connection Magazine, Chopperhead Magazine, High Voltage Magazine, Rock City News, The Campus Circle, and since this a LA Weekly Sponsored event the winning band will also get an article in LA Weekly
