Guitar Shop TV's Artist Showcase Competition (Oct '12)

Guitar Shop TV’s "Artist Showcase” Competition is an exciting new opportunity for talented Indie bands and solo artists to be discovered by a worldwide audience, gain exposure, and dramatically increase their fan base. One winner is selected monthly and invited on Guitar Shop TV to be interviewed and perform.

Winners will also have the opportunity to appear on the same episode with some of the top celebrities and stars of the guitar and music world. Past winners have been posted at Guitarshoptv.com alongside guitar gods such as Ted Nugent, Phil Collen of Def Leppard, Keith Urban, Peter Frampton, Johnny Winter, Vince Gill, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Stanley Jordan and lead guitarists and sidemen for such artists as Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Keith Richards, Steely Dan, James Taylor, Rod Stewart, and The Black Crowes, to name just a few.

This month Guitar Shop TV is working in partnership with Sonicbids to find bands for our September Showcase, which will exclusively feature bands from the Sonicbids community.

Monthly winners receive:

• An exclusive invitation to appear on Guitar Shop TV to be interviewed and perform for our global audience of fans and music industry insiders. In addition to worldwide exposure, winners have the opportunity to appear on the same episode with some of the top celebrities of the guitar and music world.


• A feature article and performance video posted on the Guitar Shop TV website for worldwide distribution.


• Eligibility for additional special promotions, events, celebrity get-togethers, product giveaways, etc.

Application requirements:

• The applicant(s) cannot be signed to a recording label


• Submissions must be original musical works (or applicants have the required permission to use any third party material)


• All works must be a maximum of five minutes in length and must fulfill the above specified category or genre


• By submitting their work for consideration, all applicants acknowledge that they have read and accept the Artist Showcase Contest Rules and Privacy Policy.


• All applicants must be over 18 or over the age of majority in their home jurisdiction


• Employees and immediate family members of Guitar Shop TV and Sonicbids are not eligible to enter.
