PLAY: Gussy's Bar Music Venue (NYC) - May

Gussy's Bar is looking to book Sonicbids artists on an ongoing basis to perform on Friday and Saturday nights this year. Selected artists will receive a percentage of the door. 

Gussy's is a 175-capacity venue located in Astoria, Queens, just 2 blocks from the Ditmars stop on the N/Q and right off the B.Q.E./R.F.K. Bridge. Local original bands as well as bands from around the world have performed at Gussy's. Newly renovated in 2012 from the old Spinozza's, which was the oldest Pub in Astoria 1939, Gussy's has a very warm environment and gracious hospitality for all patrons and artists.

Gussy's hosts two shows every Friday and Saturday (except major holidays) with 5 bands at each show.

• Accepted genres include rock, metal, classic rock, indie, grunge, reggae, ska, jazz, goth, industrial
• Original and tribute bands are both encouraged to submit
• Bands must be able to draw a minimum of 15 people
• Gussy's is 21+ for all patrons and performers

• Each band gets a 40 minutes set
• Full PA system and in-house sound man are provided
• Back line includes 1 Harke 240 Watt Cabinet and 1 Crate Combo for Bass, drum kit (2 rack toms, 1 floor tom, 1 bass drum, 5 cymbal stands)
• Guitar players must provide their own heads
• Drummers must provide their own cymbals, kick pedal, throne, snare, high hat clutch
• All bands must use backline provided to keep clutter to a minimum

• $5.00 per head after the first 10 people on a $10.00 cover (50%)
• Any band that draws over 20 people will receive FULL DOOR per head past that
