Summary
Hamilton Music and Film Festival is looking for 10 Sonicbids artists to perform at their annual band competition.
HMFF 2014 will be taking over Hamilton again for 3 days this year. They are ready to make their 7th year bigger than ever! Day 2 Sept 27, will include the main competition with the top 6 bands selected competing against each other for some amazing prizes. Such as studio time, music video shoots, rental vouchers, and more. Every band selected for the main competition receives a video shot by HeartstringsTV.com
There are 10 reserved slots for Sonicbids members and EVERYONE who applies to HMFF can get discounted tickets for the weekend events.
HMFF is looking for: Rock, Garage, Punk, Reggae, DJ, Folk, Hip Hop, Goth, Americana, Dance, Ambient, Metal, Bluegrass, Electronic, Singer-Songwriter, R&B, Acoustic, Alternative, but they really like to mix it up! In addition, artists do not need to be from Hamilton, all are welcome to enter!
Some other events that will be happening this year are the 4th Singer/Songwriter competition, Film/music video competition, free in-stores, and more!

HMFF provides great exposure for emerging bands. Many artists that have performed at the festival have signed with various level labels, and gained tons of fans along the way. Filmmakers have gone onto international festivals, and been distributed worldwide. On top of great talent they also have amazing audiences every year, that feel passionately about the arts communities, and also some industry vets, that are looking for the next big thing.
