The HMFF provides great exposure for emerging bands. Every band that is selected for the festival will receive a high-definition, multi-camera live recording of one song from their performance. Bands are allotted 30 minute sets.



The Hamilton Music and Film Festival was created in 2008 by Hamilton filmmaker Kevin Hall. Kevin noticed that the music and film communities in the Hamilton area are growing rapidly, and that there is no shortage of talent. At the time there was no event that celebrated this talent and allowed musicians and filmmakers to showcase their work to an audience of peers and industry professionals.
