Summary

The deadline is approaching to submit to the 2010 Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival, the largest celebration of Jazz and Blues on Canada's East Coast. In 2008, it was ECMA Event of the Year.

Selected artists will be compensated, and the festival has a substantial hospitality component. Wages, travel and accommodations are negotiated by the Artist Director./n/nHarvest Jazz & Blues Festival enters its 20th year in 2010. With more than 40 sponsors, 7 venues/stages and 80,000 attendees, it is the largest celebration of Jazz and Blues on Canada's East Coast. Only Maritime musicians in the blues, jazz and folk related genres should apply. Bands are paid fairly and the festival has a substantial hospitality component; wages, travel and accommodation are negotiated by the Artist Director.


In 2008, the festival was ECMA Event of the Year, and will continue the tradition in 2010 with 4 tents, 1 soft seat and 2 acoustic stages. It is dedicated to the promotion of local music.


The event is set to take place September 14 - 19, in Fredericton, NB, Canada. More than 80 performers are expected to play, and half are Maritime performers. Last year's talent included Susan Tedeschi, Bailey Brothers, Weak Size Fish, JJ Grey and Mofro, "Original P," and more.
