Summary

Heartland Community College is a public college looking for local and touring performers in all music genres to come play on campus. Typically, lodging will be provided for touring acts at a local hotel. Compensation details are negotiable. They are open to most genres, as they are interested in presenting a variety of musical styles. They are also interested in comedians, novelty acts, public speakers, and more./n/nHeartland Community College is a public college looking for local and touring performers in all music genres to come play on campus. Typically, lodging will be provided for touring acts at a local hotel. Compensation details are negotiable. They are open to most genres, as they are interested in presenting a variety of musical styles. They are also interested in comedians, novelty acts, public speakers, and more.


All performances take place in the campus cafeteria, between 11 am and 1 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The cafeteria seats approximately 45-125 people. For Spring, Heartland holds approximately one-two concerts per month from January through April. The cafeteria where performances take place is a newly renovated space that has a permanent stage space. A basic sound system, including operator, can be provided.


In the past, Heartland Community College has hosted such Sonicbids artists as: Javier Mendoza, Joe Cameron, El Payo, Lyal Strickland, Roxi Copland, Katie & Pat, Rehyn, Jeremy Hoekstra and Ramoth-Gilead. Performers are compensated and a hotel room is provided typically the night before performance, as well as lunch following performance.
