Heath Fair Battle of the Bands

Bands from around the Northeast and New England are encourage to submit to the The First Annual Heath Fair Battle of the Bands. This rocking event will take place Friday, August 15th, 2008 at the Heath Fair in Heath, Massachusetts. Bands of a variety of genres are invited to submit and at least six bands will be chosen to participate. This year, Heath Fair Battle of the Bands has selected Sonicbids for their artist submissions.



The live competition will take place on August 15, 2008 in Heath, MA. A grand prize of $500 for first place is guaranteed, an amount which may be increasing. The first and second place winners will also be guaranteed at least one booking each at a local show in Western Massachusetts. Prizes for the second and third place runners-up in the battle include $600 in studio recording time and a $200 cash prize. Other prizes for participants include cash, merchandise, and preferred consideration for future show bookings.



Bands will be judged by a panel of music experts on the following categories: Musicianship, originality, presentation, audience response, song writing, professionalism, and overall effect. Since this is an all-ages outdoor event, it is requested that performers refrain from the excessive use of profanity.



A full PA with monitors, a drum set, and bass amp/cab backline will be provided. Additional information will be provided about the backline to the selected bands.
