Summary

Hendrix College is a private, liberal-arts school located near Little Rock, AR with an enrollment of 1200 students. They are approximately five hours from Dallas and Nashville, and 2 1/2 hours away from Memphis.

They are looking for local and established touring performers in the acoustic, singer/songwriter, folk, indie, pop, rock, and R&B genres to play on campus. A member of NACA, the college holds approximately 3-5 smaller shows per semester (200 people or less) and one large show with an established, headlining act each semester. Performances may take place September through late April.

There are three different on-campus venues where artists can play:

  • The Brick Pit which has a capacity of 1500

  • The Burrow (200 people - where most shows are held)

  • Staples Auditorium (850 people)

Submitting artists will be considered for spots at all possible campus venues, and the college will ultimately determine which location is the best fit. They book artists according to availability, pricing, and student interest.

Travel and lodging can be provided for touring acts. Compensation details are negotiable.

In the past, Hendrix has hosted such artists as: Spoon, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, John Cale, Ben Kweller, Alejandro Escovedo, Lucinda Williams, Marc Broussard, The Pharcyde, Saul Williams, Matt Wertz, Jon McLaughlin, and The Gabe Dixon Band.
