Hennessy is looking for the best emerging artists to play at Blue Passions Festival in Cognac, France. Entering its 19th year, Blue Passions has become a major fixture on the festival calendar in France. Confirmed headliners for 2012 include Sting, The Cranberries, Tom Jones, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and more.

5-10 bands will be selected to enter a global voting competition, where fans will vote for their favorite band to receive an all expenses paid (travel, accommodations, local transport, etc.) trip to Cognac. They will play a set on Thursday, July 5th at the Eden Blues stage, directly next to the main stage. Hennessy is looking for a unique artist with a dynamic, charismatic performance and high artistic quality.

Artists will need to submit a video in order to be considered.

Submissions are only open to artists from the following countries:

  • United States of America (excluding residents of the state of California)

  • United Kingdom

  • India

  • Japan

  • Latvia

  • Trinidad & Tobago

  • Barbados

Terms And Conditions

Moet Hennessy Be Heard. Be Found. Competition terms and conditions

1. These terms and conditions are the competition rules (the Rules) for the Moet Hennessy Be Heard. Be Found competition (the Competition). By entering this Competition, you agree to be bound by these Rules and confirm that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements below.

2. The Competition is organised by Moet Hennessy UK Limited.
3. To enter the Competition you must [either upload a video of you performing a Specified Track on to the Moet Hennessy Be Heard. Be Found Competition page on Facebook OR your entry can be submitted by a third party such as a record label or agent], and provide the mandatory details in the details form on that page.
4. The Specified Track must be the entrants interpretation of one of their own original compositions only amongst the following music styles : Blues, Soul, Funk, Folk, RnB, Boogie, Swing, Country, Gospel, Hip Hop, Slam, Rockn Roll. Reruns and/or remixes will not be accepted.
5. There is no payment to enter the Competition.
6. Entries may be made from 09.00 on 9 April 2012 (the Start Date) and must be made before 23.59 hours, at GMT time, on 30 April 2012 (the Closing Date). The sole determinant of time for this purpose of the Competition will be the internet server used by Moet Hennessy UK.
7. The Competition is only open to legal residents of the following countries:
United States of America (excluding residents of the state of California)
Trinidad & Tobago
Hong Kong
South Africa
United Kingdom
aged 18 years and over in the UK, and over the legal drinking age in other countries, at the time of entry. Entrants may be required to submit proof of eligibility. Moet Hennessy UK reserves the right to verify the email address provided to it by the Entrant. In the event of any dispute, entries containing an invalid email address will be deemed ineligible.
8. Directors, officers and employees of Moet Hennessy UK and any of their respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to enter and to win any prizes.
9. The winner may be required to travel outside their country as part of the Prize. For this reason, the entrant must ensure that they have a valid passport and are otherwise eligible to travel should they need to.
10. By entering the Competition, the entrant is responsible for the information they submit and warrants that this information is true, correct and complete. Moet Hennessy UK Limited reserves the right to verify eligibility of entrants.
11. Moet Hennessy UK Limited also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has supplied information and/or details that are untruthful, inaccurate or misleading, or if the entrant has failed to abide by the Rules and/or are in breach of the terms in any way whatsoever.

The Prize

12. The Prize is the opportunity to perform at the Blues Passions Festival 2012 in Cognac, France: Moet Hennessys hometown between 3 9 July 2012 (the Prize).
13. The winner must be available between 3 July 2012 and 9 July 2012 to travel to and attend the Prize.
14. The winner will only attend the festival for a maximum of 3 days during the festival.
15. The winner will have the chance to perform 1 or 2 times at the festival either on a side stage or one of the participation trade accounts associated with the festival i.e a nightclub or open space in the town.
16. The Prize includes attendance at the festival, return economy travel ticket from the country of residence of the winner to the festival, and standard accom
