Summary

Herzogfest has been held annually in Victoria, Kansas for the past 25 years and attracts a crowd of over 8,000 people. Held from August 10th through the 12th, 2007 in the City Park and Downtown Area, Herzogfest is one of the largest free celebrations in Western Kansas and one of the most anticipated and talked about events of the year.

Herzogfest is looking for local and national Rock and Country bands to come perform the three day festival. There are two main shows, each with a headlining act preceded by two opening bands. A total of four openers and two headliners will perform. Selected artists will be compensated for their performance.

This event has grown from a one day sidewalk sale into a large weekend event complete with stages featuring national recording artists, local and regional entertainment, antique tractor pull, kids pedal pull, talent show, and kids games. The event is capped with a large fireworks display.

The two main directives of the Herzogfest Board of Directors are to honor and celebrate the local German heritage, and to provide a free community celebration focusing on family oriented fun. Homage is paid to those who settled the area and built this charming and thriving Midwest town and community. Herzogfest, Inc. is a private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, operated under the supervision of a volunteer Board of Directors.
