Summary

The High Land Jam is in its 5th season and will take place September 1-4, 2006. The event has two stages of nonstop music and 20 performance slots – two of which are reserved for Sonicbids artists. Selected artists will be compensated for their performance either through ticket sales or a fee negotiated with the promoter, depending on the artist.

The High Land Jam is on The Pegasus Farm in Elkins, West Virginia surrounded by 3,000 foot mountains. Nicely isolated, the High Land Jam ZENfest is on 40 acres of protected private land. It is our land and we want to share our land with nice people. The High Land Jam ZENfest evolved out of extensive traveling to other festivals. After hearing so many wonderfully talented artists we wanted to take them out of their respective regions and bring them all together. The High Land Jam, then, is a musical feast of extremely talented artists. Some you have heard of, but we guarantee you haven't heard all of them!

The event is sponsored by Dog Eared Moon Productions. Past performers include ZEN Tricksters, Perpetual Groove, Bone Pony, Johnny Staats, ZEN, Vince Welnick, 2nd Naycha, Hillbilly Gypsies, Cherylann Hawk, Hillary Murray, Big Metal Rooster, Escape Goat, Almighty Senators.

The High Land Jam is looking for original music and jam bands, although we also invite world music, bluegrass, jamgrass, jazz, hip-hop and rock. We also have room for single acts and duos. We are looking for unique and talented unknown bands.

Music fans and musicians can come and enjoy good music, good people and good times!

Please note: Artists who are offered a performance with their compensation package being through selling tickets have the option to play for free without selling tickets.
