Summary

The High Land Jam will be August 29-30, 2009 (the weekend before labor day) and is one of the best small jam band festival anywhere. Past artists have been jam bands, blues, jazz, alternative, bluegrass and solo acts.

Everyone who visits the festival loves the farm where it's held near Elkins, WV. It has 40 acres, two permanent stages, professional sound & lights, on stage monitor engineer, two sound companies, band hospitality barn, and bands usually make +/- $800.

Past performances by Vince Welnick, Perpetual Groove, The Recipe, Peter Tork, Bone Pony, ZEN, The almighty Senators, GUTA, The Davisson Brothers and many other great musicians. Last year they chose over 50% of their performing bands and artists from Sonicbids. Their mission is to take really good, but relatively unknown, artists to give them a great opportunity to network with other musicians.

The festival requires bands to spend the entire weekend at the festival. This is not a "come play and leave right away" type of festival. They have a great hospitality barn for artists and camping for 6,000, including a very clean shower house.
