Summary

Hip Hop Mile was created by BOTS Entertainment, a firm dedicated to the promotion of independent recording artists.

The first Mile was held in 2005, affording 60 artists the opportunity to showcase their talent, in singing, rapping, poetry, graffiti art, DJ-ing, and dance.

Genres accepted: Hip Hop, Holy Hip Hop, R&B, R&P, Neo-Soul, and Gospel.

This event will be held Saturday, June 17, 2006 from 12-8 PM at the historical Belle Isle, which is an island owned by the city of Detroit, MI-USA, and sits in the middle of the Detroit River between Windsor, ON and Detroit. The jewel of the island is a permanent stage, called the band shell, once used to host the symphony orchestra. The acoustics are phenomenal.

There is no compensation for this event. It is intended for exposure only. Each artist will receive 8 minutes of performance time, and may be included on the Hip Hop Mile 2006 DVD Documentary. Please note, inclusion on the Documentary is at the discretion of BOTS Entertainment.

Complimentary Water will be provided at the event, in addition to free admission to the Hip Hop Mile Pre-Party.

There are 60 slots available for this show, 6 of which will be held for Sonicbids members.

Previous Sonicbids performers include: Candace, Fishe, FlawlessnSedalia, Heata, Lyn, and more.
