Film Summary:
A young woman's struggle to empower herself and rise above the hard life set out for her.

Tracks are needed for the following scenes:

  • Warehouse Club - The film is looking for a song similar in tone / vibe / feel as the Dynamics remix of "Living is Easy"

released by Nightmares on Wax. The scene is a club warehouse, the crowd is dancing but mellow – everyone's having a good time. The lead actress is spinning an upbeat reggae track as her love interest wrestles his way through the club to offer her a drink.

  • Tattoo Scene - The film is looking for a mellow reggae, dub step song similar in tone / vibe / feel as Max Romeo, Niney The Observer and Burning Spear but newer and edgier. Another direction they are considering is House music. Lyrics not necessary. The music plays in the background as the lead female character enters a tattoo parlor. The fire burns and they are lighting candles in a shrine with pictures of loved ones. It's late morning.
  • This music can be used for another scene needing similar music. SCENE 34: similar in tone/ vibe/ feel as Max Romeo, Niney The Observer, The Wailers and Burning Spear. The lead actor and actress get into his truck to go on a surprise journey to a special place he wants to show her. The track's playing on the radio as she turns it on.
