Summary
The Holy Oak Cafe , located in Toronto, is a friendly, inclusive, non-pretentious and comfortable venue with a full bar and a performing area that features live musicians of many genres from old time to funk. It's located in the west end of downtown a few minutes away from the subway.
They host a variety of different local or touring acts who fit the space and who are able to draw 25 people or more and are 19 or older.
Venue Details:
The venue holds 45 people, has a full PA, piano (& a couple mics if need be). No sound tech is provided so you should know how to work a basic PA. The room sounds and feels really good and is loved by many.
In terms of money stuff, artists receive 10% of bar sales and can pass the hat. Charging at the door is a possibility if the draw will be more than 40 people. In this case the artist(s) keep all the door money and Holy Oak keeps the bar money.
