Houston Folklore and Music Society: Second Saturdays

Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to the Houston Folklore and Music Society: Second Saturdays. The Society presents a concert of acoustic, folk, or bluegrass music on the second Saturday of each month (except July, August, and December) at the West University Community Center. These concerts are always acoustic music of various types ranging from bluegrass, singer/songwriter, Scottish, Irish, cowboy, old time country, and of course, folk (both traditional and contemporary). Compensation to artist is door receipts minus expenses. The concert begins at 7:30 pm. There are 9 concerts happening each year on the 2nd Saturday of months January through June and September through Novemeber. Sound equipment and engineer are provided by the venue.
