Summary

The Ojai Classic Rock Festival is a terrific event held six times per year in the beautiful Libbey Bowl in Ojai, CA. Located approximately twenty minutes from Ventura, this 2 day concert is a fundraising event for the RageJax Foundation. RageJax is a terrific organization that brings music and art programs to under-privileged children.

Now in its second year, the OCR Festival draws a crowd of 1,500+ every time!
The show features TRIBUTE BANDS, not cover bands. Although the festival has primarily been classic rock, this summer’s shows will include the music of No Doubt and U2 - soon to be classic rock bands! Radio station 95.9 The Octopus is a strong sponsor of this event, offering participating bands live airtime to play!

We offer monetary compensation to selected bands but we ask that bands play for a reduced rate since this is a charity concert. Lodging can be negotiated, however because these are benefits we don't cover travel. We look for routed dates so this show wouldn't be a "one out".

Past performers include Vince Welnick, from the Grateful Dead, who played an entire set with local Dead cover band Cubensis. JGB & Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band) will be playing the July 15 & 16 Classic Rock show, as well as the Atomic Punks, Iron Maidens, Which One's Pink, and more.

Typically, each festival will feature up to fourteen bands, plus an additional two to four acts for our after-show parties. All Sonicbids artist submissions will be carefully reviewed, but you must be good to be selected! We want you to sound JUST LIKE the real deal in this festival! That’s what the audience expects and that’s why they keep coming back!
