Summary

Husson College is a small university in the heart of northern New England with approximately 2,000 students. Situated in Bangor, ME, the school is approximately 250 miles north of Boston and 250 miles east of Quebec City. They are currently booking entertainment for Spring 2008 semester.



Typically, 8-12 artists per semester are booked at Husson. They are seeking live music, comedy, magicians, mentalists, hypnotists, poets, educational lecturers, game shows, and party acts for performance consideration at the following events:



  • January 23, 2008- Performance taking place in the Furman Student Center, 11:00am-1:00pm, on-going music. Husson is seeking preferably acoustic blues or folk to fit a Martin Luther King, Jr. week. Travel and lodging provided. Compensation ranges from $400-$750.



  • January 23, 2008- Performance taking place in the Kominsky Auditorium. They are seeking spoken word artist for civil rights theme. The auditorium is a capacity of roughly 100. Travel, lodging and compensation ranging from $600-$900 will be provided.



  • February 14, 2008- Performance taking place in the Campus Center on Valentine's Day. Husson is specifically seeking music of a strings or folk vocal nature. Entertainment will last from 11:00am-1:00pm. They would be willing to substitute this for roving magician, as well. Performance will be compensated by $300-$500 compensation. Travel and lodging are included.



  • March 17-19, 2008- Performance taking place in Furman Student Center or Husson Campus Center. Specifically, Celtic music is desired for a performance taking place from 11:00am-1:00pm. Travel and lodging will be included along with $600-$800 compensation.



  • Additional events throughout the year on campus, taking place outdoors, in the Auditorium, Campus Center, or lecture hall. Outdoor events are usually theme-oriented.
