Summary

Independent Distribution Collective (IDC) is based in San Francisco, CA and has been a music distributor since 2004. Its mission is to help the next generation of musicians and producers get their music to the market. IDC Licensing, a new division of IDC launching this year, is managed by a team of professionals with over 15 years of licensing experience. They work directly with music supervisors and provide an "artist friendly" compensation package.

  • No Introductory Fee for the first song that IDCL selects.

  • If you like their service you can add more songs for them to represent in the IDCL catalog for a small administrative fee.

  • Unlike many licensing agreements, you keep 100% of your publishing and their agreement is non-exclusive.

IDCLicensing is currently looking to build and expand their catalog for placement in films, commercials, network television, video games, corporate infomercials, web applications and other new media. All genres are accepted. Artists must own the copyrights to their music and must submit full versions of each song.

Independent Distribution Collective has worked with hundreds of retailers and one-stops across the country in the past 4 years of its operation. In addition to rolling out it's new marketing and promotion service "InstantDistro", IDC has realized that one of its main goals is to help independent artists and labels get their music placed in various films, TV shows, video game scores, and even placement on label compilations. IDCLicensing sees this as a means to help these artists get much needed revenue for there musical works, but also as a way for them to raise exposure for there projects, which will eventually help both their physical and digital sales.

IDCLicensing has built a network of music supervisors, producers, and label owners, who are always looking to fill cues with new compositions. It is clear that IDC has a library of already established music within its current catalog, but will accept submissions for music licensing from all possible sources.
