Summary

INDIE WEEK IRELAND is an annual music festival that showcases emerging artists in front of music industry who will select one act to headline at INDIE WEEK CANADA 2014 (flights paid for up to 5 band members by INDIE WEEK). 

INDIE WEEK IRELAND 2011 winners The Suburbians (UK) showcased at INDIE WEEK CANADA and had success in gaining sponsorship from Gibson guitars and Monster Products, Indie Week also helped coordinate showcases at Canadian Music Festival, Red Gorilla Music Fest and Gibson VIP parties. The band has since been back to Canada 2 more times with assistance from Indie Week. 2012 winners Leading Armies (Limerick, Ireland) headlined INDIE WEEK CANADA 2012 and have had a number of offers from Canadian industry including recording a song for free at Toronto's Revolution Road studios (the same studio that RUSH uses).

Industry is guaranteed to be in the room. Industry professionals from fields ranging from A&R, booking, labels, legal, management, press, and production are on board to determine which European band is the "best of the fest." The top act from every night, as decided discreetly by the judges, performs again at Indie Week's Closing Party where dedicated judges determine who will be going to Toronto in the fall of 2014 for Indie Week Canada, the 11th anniversary celebration, complete with free flights and accommodation for up to 5 band members (band members ONLY!).

This year is Indie Week Ireland's 6th Anniversary!

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • All international acts (non-Irish) must submit before March 15, 2014 11:59pm EST.
  • The final deadline for all Ireland based acts is March 21, 2014 at 11:59pm EST.
Past Indie Week Ireland winners have gone on to secure management, world-wide endorsement deals, returned to North America for Canadian Music Week, North by Northeast and SXSW. Each year Indie Week extends invitation to participating acts who've really left an impression to join us in Toronto for Indie Week Canada. There is more to gain than "Best of the Fest"!
