Summary

Songs With Vision is currently supervising music for a project that will be released internationally (the director is French). Accepted genres include rock, folk, hip-hop, and chill out techno.

This will be a theatrical release. Post-production is slated to be finished in August, 2008. It's a dark film about betrayal and murder in the sex, drugs and rock'n'roll culture with some graphic sexual scenes.

The project is currently seeking music that has a haunting, foreboding feel. The director has used the example of the music in Mulholland Drive and Twin Peaks (though not as quirky). Some favorites they have in the genres are:

  • Jay-Z’s "Numb/Encore"

  • Audioslave’s "Shape of Things to Come"

  • Moby’s "God Moving Over the Water"

  • Avril Lavigne’s "Knocking' on Heaven's Door"

  • Bob Dylan’s "I'm Not There"

These tracks are examples; they are not looking for replacements. The key is a haunting and foreboding feel with possibly a touch of Arabic sounds. The music supervisor will be reviewing all submissions.
