Indie Groundswell Compilation CD

Indie Groundswell was created in response to the countless unsigned and unrepresented artists that submit demos and full-length LPs to both major and independent labels abroad. Its main purpose is to help promote these Indie bands and get their music into the right hands so these artists can take the next step to reaching their goals.



Indie Groundswell releases a quarterly compilation CD to help unsigned artists get recognized and signed abroad. 1,000-2,500 copies are pressed of each volume, which is then serviced to major and indie labels in the U.S, Canada and some European Territories; Agents, Managers, Radio Stations Film & TV supervisors etc, to showcase the bands material and expectantly land the band a deal with one or all of the above, or at the very least garner some attention.



Here are just some of the labels we will be sending your music to: Universal - Canada & New York, Virgin - Los Angeles, Warner – LA & Toronto, Sony BMG – Toronto, NY & LA, JIVE – New York, J Records – New York, Island – New York, Interscope – Santa Monica, Geffen – Santa Monica, EMI – Toronto & Tennessee, SUBPOP – Seattle, Atlantic – New York, Epic – New York, Def Jam – New York, Columbia – New York, Capitol – Hollywood, A&M – Santa Monica, V2 – Toronto, KOCH – NYC and Roadrunner – NY



Bands will also receive twenty (20) finished copies of the compilation and be given the opportunity to take part in related projects and events such as showcases or release parties.



10 slots are reserved for Sonicbids members, which will account for 75-90% of the compilation.



Submissions for this compilation will be judged by the Indie Groundswell A&R panel (Brian Hetherman and Tiffany Tse). All genres are accepted. Material submitted must be original.
