Indie Pop Report: Independent Artist Reviews (Nov-Jan 2010)

The deadline is approaching to submit to Indie Pop Report (IPR), a web site dedicated to providing reviews and interviews of independent artists. Artist reviewed on IPR are strictly DIY artists who are on small home grown labels or going at it on their own. IPR provides a means for them to get their music reviewed by a third party source in order to provide them, hopefully, with marketing support they need in order to continue on their independent path.

In addition to helping out artists they also provide a source for music lovers to discover new independent talent.

How are they different?

IPR is different in that they do not select the artists for review consideration and then ask them to send us in a copy of their CD. After an artist has been selected for review, Indie Pop Report goes out and purchases the disc from the artist. For this reason, one of the major criteria for review consideration is that the artist have a physical/digital album available for purchase at an independent site whether it be CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, or other.
