Road to Indie Week : Halifax

Indie Week is taking over the East Coast with The Road to Indie Week in Halifax, offering artists a chance to showcase their talent at local venue The Seahorse Tavern. Not only are bands competing for $1,000 and best East Coast band bragging rights, but also the chance to showcase in Toronto for Indie Week’s 10th anniversary festival this October 16th – 20th. Apply now to gain exposure, meet industry professionals, and expand your reach from the East coast to the West, and beyond!

All bands entering will be considered for a showcase spot at Indie Week Canada 2013 regardless of being selected for the Road to Indie Week or outcomes for their Road to Indie Week participation (meaning: bands do not have to submit an application to The Road to Indie Week Halifax And Indie Week)

Here's how it works:

• Winner of Road to Indie Week Halifax will headline our East Coast showcase at Indie Week in Toronto Canada October 16th – 20th.

• If the Winner of Road to Indie Week Halifax is voted as the top act of their Indie Week Canada showcase they will play the next round and potentially the finals of Indie Week Canada..

• Winner of the Finals of Indie Week Canada will play Indie Week Ireland 2014 (April) with flights and accommodations for up to 5 bands members provided for by Indie Week (flights/accommodations for band members only)

Road to Indie Week Halifax Dates:

• Round 1 Wednesday Sept. 4th

• Round 2 Wednesday Sept. 11th

• Round 3 Wednesday Sept. 18th

• Finals Wednesday Sept. 25th
