Summary

The International Children’s Festival is an annual event held each May. The festival celebrates cultural awareness and the performing and visual arts for children. Each year, the International Children’s Festival promotes tolerance and understanding of the world around us. In an environment of fun and frivolity, performers of all kinds from countries around the world including France, West Africa, Germany, Japan, Scotland, USA and Canada have gathered to explore cultural traditions, customs and beliefs, and instill pride in our heritage.

The 2009 International Children’s Festival will be held on May 26th-30th in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. The festival will feature 5 venues including the 300 seat Arden Theater. They are expecting to host nearly 60,000 people throughout the duration of the event. The festival does not only present children’s entertainment, one of the key elements to the International Children’s Festival is its focus on world music performers. Selected performers will be compensated in the range of $1,500-$2,000. This is a great event for any children’s or world music performers to show their talent at a top tier children’s festival.
