The night time sees industry delegates and music fans head onto the streets of Manchester for In The City Live: as a mass of new music-makers take over the city to create the biggest city-based music festival in Europe. In The City and Sonicbids are teaming up to offer 3 artists a $1000 travel stipend./n/nLaunched in 1992 by the late Tony Wilson and his partner Yvette Livesey, In The City brings together press, broadcasters, celebrities, captains of industry and, of course, the best new bands in the world.

In The City and Sonicbids are teaming up to offer 3 artists a $1000 travel stipend. Selections will be made by In The City and ALL artists worldwide are eligible. Half of the stipend will be paid upon proof of travel arrangements to In The City; the other half paid after the artist performs.

ITC is an annual meeting point for key labels, publishers, lawyers, agents, technology companies and media and ITC delegates attend from all corners of the globe to network, debate, party and set the music industry to rights. In the City has helped to launch the careers of Bjork, Chemical Brothers, Coldplay, Muse, Foo Fighters, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Badly Drawn Boy, Daft Punk, Lady Sovereign Doves, Elastica, Idlewild, Elbow, Gallows, The Fratellis, Ash, Enter Shikari, Friendly Fires, Hadouken, Biffy Clyro and Courteneers.

Please note: Selected artists will be responsible for all associated costs, travel and visas (where required) and must have a valid passport. The travel reimbursement paid by Sonicbids may be taxable.
