Summary

Iris Evolution understands the needs of local artists, and how the web is the best way to get your message out in high volume. This is a great opportunity for artists to take their visibility to the next level; all genres are accepted in this competition. Songs will be judged based on composition, originality, melody, energy, and overall delivery. Entries will be judged by Iris Evolution and music professionals with varying musical tastes and backgrounds. Since this is a song contest it is possible for an artist to have more than one song in the finals.



Periodic winners will receive a cash prize and move on to the finals. The Grand Prize Winner will win a professionally designed, custom website valued at $5,000*.



There will be three entry periods as follows:


  • Period 1: December 1st, 2008 to December 31st, 2008

    Winners will be announced January 31st, 2009


  • Period 2: February 1st, 2009 to February 28th, 2009

    Winners will be announced March 31st, 2009


  • Period 3: April 1st, 2009 to April 30th, 2009

    Winners will be announced May 31st, 2009



Ten Finalists from each period will move on to the finals and the Grand Prize Winner will be announced June 30th, 2009.



Prizes:

Finalists from each period will evenly split the cash prizes according to the following


  • 0-250 entries up to $500

  • 251-500 entries up to $1000

  • 501-1000 entries up to $2000

  • Over 1,000 entries: up to $3000




GRAND PRIZE WINNER: One custom website worth $5,000*. Website will be tailored to fit your style and best showcase your talent to the world. Website will include fan zone and registering system, multimedia capabilities (i.e. video and music), photo gallery, tour and news content system and 1 full year of free hosting from website launch date.
