Summary

The Independent Singer-Songwriter Association (ISSA) Song Contest is an international competition supporting the disciplines of songwriting, musicianship and performance. The main objective is to give independent singer-songwriters the opportunities to have their music heard and help them to establish a larger fan base.

Songs are judged by diverse panel of judges including Grammy and Billboard award winners, music industry professionals, musicians, music buyers and fans. Songs are judged on composition, musicality, melody, marketability, lyrics and originality.

Contest winners receive $2,000 in cash, sponsored prizes and performance opportunities to help further their pursuits in music. Additionally, Sonicbids is providing a free yearly Supersonic membership to all category winners. Songs can be submitted in 16 separate categories: Singer-Songwriter of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Single, Adult Contemporary, Pop, R & B, Country, Dance Electronica, Rock, Instrumental, Contemporary Christian, Jazz, Folk, Fan Favorite (selected by fan vote), Green (songs with an environmental message) and Lyrics. Artists will be considered equally regardless of which session they submit to.

The ISSA Song Contest is sponsored by Nibbay Events and Media.
