Jack of the Wood Brew Pub Performance Consideration (Apr-Jul 09)

Jack of the Wood has been providing Asheville, NC with quality live local, regional, touring and national music acts for over twelve years. Located in the heart of downtown Asheville with a capacity of 165, JOTW has become a staple for residents, transplants and tourists.



Artists are booked 3-6 months in advance. Although they have an established clientel, it is important that acts booked provide promo materials for use in their marketing in a timely manner. Music styles they're booking include zydeco, bluegrass, Celtic, Celtic Rock, blues, Americana, some novelty, country, gypsy jazz and New Orleans jazz. Previous performing acts at JOTW include Bill Kirchen, Bob Margolin, Two Man Gentlemen Band, Yarn, Cristabel & the Jons, Miss Tess & Bon Ton Parade, Pat McLaughlin, Mac Arnold & Plate Full O' Blues and Firecracker Jazz Band to name a few.



Music begins at 9:30pm and ends generally by 1am. A professional sound man and quality PA is provided for every performance. No backline is provided. Generally, compensation is a guarantee of $300 plus 80% of the door. Cover charges range from $5-$15 depending on the notoriety of the act. Meals for each band member is also provided.
