Summary

Jammin' Round With Jamie-Sue is a monthly songwriters round hosted by Jamie-Sue Seal, of the band The Radiotown Flyers, at Christ United Church in DeWitt, Michigan. Just north of Lansing, conveniently located between Ann Arbor/Detroit and Grand Rapids or Chicago, the series is going into its fifth year. Their artists are typically booked several months in advance, but they occasionally are able to book musicians last minute or if there is a cancellation.

2-3 artists are booked per series show, and set lengths are usually 1 hour and a half to two hours long. Soundman and PA are both in house, and capacity of the venue is 100.

All performances are recorded for future broadcast. Compensation is a flat rate guarantee discussed with each performer. Performers retain 100% all CD and merchandise sales. They require performers to sign a binding contract.

This monthly songwriters round is specifically interested in Americana, roots and folk artists. Two slots reserved for Sonicbids Members.

Musicians in the Mid-Michigan area are encouraged to visit and support the series. In addition, working musicians are welcome to apply for a discounted musician's pass.

The series has a base audience, but prefers if performers either have a local draw or a really good publicist to stir up some buzz about their appearance in the area. Prominent performers include Dick Wagner of Alice Cooper fame, fingerstyle guitarist Tim Thompson, and Will Kimbrough and Ron Block.
