About the Festival:

Jarocin Festival has always been one of the biggest and most important rock music festivals in Europe since the 1980s, and by far the biggest festival of alternative music in the Warsaw Pact countries. Back then, the Jarocin Festival was a kind of window to the world for young people. It was a place, where they could feel free and it was mostly expressed by the way everyone dressed. It was also a place where they could meet some alternative bands and hear music they would never hear on Polish radio.

After being suspending in 1994 due to riots and aggressive fans, Jarocin Festival was reactivated in 2005. Sometimes referred to as the 'Polish Woodstock', Jarocin showcases the best of rock, alternative, blues, heavy metal, punk rock and reggae.
