Got the Jitters? If not, a good place to get them is Cuppa the Jitters Cafe in Columbus, Indiana. We are currently looking to book songwriters for our coffeehouse.
Being the new kid in a midwestern city nationally known for its architectural designs is not easy, but Jitters' leisurely design and pleasant, relaxing environment has been enthusiastically welcomed with wide-opened arms.
Whether it's the two tropical murals designed by a Louisville, KY artist, the curved deep purple wall in the back, the handsome chrome chair duos scattered throughout the café, or the eye-catching wavy ceiling design, owner Pat Gorbett has made it clear this isn't just a run-of-the-coffee-mill type of place.
But Jitters is more than a feng shui inspired pretty face. For instance, there are the two wireless laptop computers offering high speed Net access through the shop's wireless internal network, a 27" TV, and the stereo/cassette/CD player available to the public. For those into live entertainment, Jitters frequently hosts local musicians on weekends and occasional poetry readings weeknights.
Selected artists will be compensated for their performances.
