Summary
JunoFest is a two-night music extravaganza that is part of the 2009 Juno Awards weekend. It showcases the diverse spectrum of regional and national artists in Canada. JunoFest will feature 120 bands at over a dozen venues. There will be performances from 2009 Award Nominees, national touring acts as well as many local bands showcasing.
JunoFest 09 will be held in downtown Vancouver on March 27 and 28, 2009. Performances go from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. All genres of music are accepted.
2009 marks the eight year anniversary of JunoFest since its inception in St. JohnÂ’s, Newfoundland in 2002. As a means to promote and celebrate Canadian music, JunoFest has showcased more than 1,000 artists and bands of all backgrounds and genres including: African Guitar Summit, Alpha Yaya Diallo, Bedouin Soundclash, Belly, Brandi Disterheft, Classified, Feist, Fresh IE, Jim Guthrie, Jully Black, Julie Doiron, Little Miss Higgins, Marianas Trench, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, MSTRKRFT, The Sadies, Saint Alvia, Sam Roberts, Shad, Shout Out Out Out Out, Silverstein, Sloan, Thornley, Two Hours Traffic, Waking Eyes, The WailinÂ’ Jennys, You Say Party! We Say Die!
