KahBang takes place on the historic Bangor waterfront and venues through out the city August 6th – 14th. Headliners announced include: OK Go, Biz Markie, Gay Blades, Free Energy, and more TBA. At least 30 artists will be selected via Sonicbids./n/nHEADLINERS ANNOUNCED!: OK Go, Biz Markie, Free Energy, Bad Rabbits, The Aviation Orange, The Gay Blades, as well as local, national, and international acts hosted across three stages along the historic Bangor Waterfront!

KahBang is the premier independent music festival in New England, encompassing music, film and art; KahBang takes place on the historic Bangor waterfront and venues through out the city August 6th – 14th.

KahBang is looking for up-and-coming acts, as well as national acts to showcase in venues throughout the city, including the festival stages. At least 30 artists will be selected via Sonicbids. Previous showcase acts include Matt & Kim, Ra Ra Riot, Ida Maria, and April Smith. Compensation varies, however all bands can anticipate
festival passes, the opportunity to sell merchandise, and assistance with food and lodging.

All bands are encouraged to submit, from anywhere and from any genre, signed or unsigned; bands are selected to showcase individually and as support for national acts. Previous live performance experience preferred, but is not required. Marketing tools such as MySpace, a demo or EP, and
website are taken in to consideration, as it helps us market you to our audience.

KahBang strives to create one of the most unique and intimate festivals in the country, where artists, fans and industry representatives come together to create a big show in a small town. KahBang takes place every August in Bangor, Maine. Come network, participate and enjoy the festival
as well as the beautiful Maine coast and legendary Maine woodlands.
