Summary
The tradition of Bar-B-Q and blues in Kansas City had its start in the 1930’s when Count Basie, Joe Turner and Charlie Parker hung out at the Old Kentucky Bar-B-Q near 18th and Vine.
When the blues music floats off the bandstand, it wafts across your plate of Bar-B-Q, imparting a flavor you can only get in Kansas City at B.B.’s Lawnside Bar-B-Q.
We are open for lunch and dinner. And with our relaxed family-style seating and friendly wait staff, no waiting in long lines to make your order. So, sit back, relax and soak in the atmosphere.

The Opportunity
We are looking for Sonicbids Bands to come perform at one of the true Blues & BBQ venues in Kansas City, MO!
We offer live music every night of the week starting at 7pm and going late until 10pm for our hungry diners.
The Band
- Bands of all genres welcome to apply, but we do love Blues music, Rock-Pop, Classic Rock and Indie Rock.
- Bands must have live stage experience
- Bands must be able to promote shows
- Bands must have solid online presence
- Bands must be able to draw 10+ to the venue
